Embark on a half day at some local produce businesses and interact with the passionate people behind them. Farmers, artisans, food experts and passionate local entrepreneurs are often willing to share their knowledge, stories and techniques, giving you insight into the production process and the importance of their offerings to the community.
After pickup from your hotel or the agreed pick-up point, the tour host gives a brief briefing on the destination of Chios and the following tour schedule. Then you start socializing with the locals at the ouzo distillery, ChiosBeer microbrewery, organic herb growing, preserved fruit in syrup, honey and homemade nut butters!!! You will get a full presentation of each company such as their history, vision and taste of their products as well as the opportunity to learn details about your favorite flavor. The final stop will be the village of Thymiana for a Q & A coffee break (ouzo?!) before being dropped off at your hotel.
